I just received my Shark steam mop. I immediately tried it in our kitchen and all I can say is WOW!!! It actually works as good as everyone has said it does. I am more than pleased! I have ceramic tile on my floor and it is spicity span. However, it does not do grout. I knew that in advanced so I was not disappointed. I had ordered Finazzle to clean my grout. I think once grout is clean and sealed, then the steam mop will just keep it that way. No more dirty water from mops going in the grout grooves. This is the best steam mop ever!!!!!!!
PS: I am going to try to make some extra pads as I can see where a person would need several. And if anyone is interested, it does say to wash pads with mild liquid soap only, nothing in rinse cycle and no bleach. Preferably air dry them but you may use low heat on dryer.
Steam mops are easier to use for people with health problems that prevent them from standing up. Regular mops are difficult to maneuver and handle from a sitting position. Many steam mops come with adjustable handles and so, you don’t have to worry about lugging around a bucket of water and a mop. The steam mops also have a trigger that can be pulled to release water. Since the steam dries fast, you don’t have to worry about spills.
There’s nothing more time consuming than mopping a whole floor for a bit of spill. With conventional mops, you need to mop the whole floor to make it look streak free. But with steam mops, since the spill is steam cleaned, you don’t have to mop the entire floor. Here is a list of the top 5 Shark Steam Mop worth considering if you’re thinking of getting one.

I just purchased a Shark Steam Mop from Sears after seeing the infomercial and reading all the wonderful reviews on here. I used it today, and I have a few concerns. The water ran out very quickly. To do the floors in my house, I had to fill it up very often. Also, the pads were very dirty after doing just my kitchen and the laundry room.
The dirt started streaking the floor. I changed pad and before I finished the other floors, I noticed that the dirt was being left on the floor and was left near the baseboard, so I had to use a Clorox wipe to get that up. I have now put both pads in the washer. My concern is that the two pads won’t be enough to clean my floors. I think it did a good job on my ceramic tile and hardwood floors, but the pads giving out so soon and having to fill it up with water so often makes me wonder if this is the steam mop for me. Anyone else have these concerns?
